The joint families went through pains of breaking in to nuclear families and our generation of nuclear family is likely to face the challenge of 'dieing alone'.
Dieing alone is a scary thought. But, looking at the number of people showing interest in developing a community living, tells me one thing, that the underlying scare in the mind is real.
Old age home is not something that people would love to go, however, people would be comfortable to go to a place where friends , relative turned friend or viceversa and acquaintances are around.
Social media has made it easy to establish connections that lead from connection --> acquaintance --> friendship or relation, making the tree grow. While people may branch out but they know that they belong to the same tree. Hence concept of 'Vrukshaa'.
Mission of Vrukshaa: Let no one die without a friend beside!!!
Vrukshaa in its e-avtar is an ashram on the web where:
1. Users are registered only through references or invitation sent by @Sangitasri, @sunilddesai, @shamikv, @amardeepP111, @banwariakoda, @debkanchan and @shrenikv.
2. These users can share the issues, sentiments, dreams, ideas, recipes, health and wellness tips, ask questions and get answers from experts, share their own expertise, fulfill their ritual and spiritual needs.
Vrukshaa in its off line avtar can imitate its on line version at and bring the idea of community living to life.
Friends Q to you:
1. Do you subscribe to the mission or want to alter it / add to it?
2. Do you subscribe to the services or want it more or need different services?
3. Do you subscribe to the method of admitting members or have a different suggestion?
4. What will be our next challenge in the effort, funding the site ops in my view is least of the challenge, regulating the site ops will be a bigger challenge?
Based on the ideas collected here, we can authorize a team out of above listed people to execute the website.
What say?
